Sampaguita

There was this little girl, barely 3ft tall, selling a handful of sampaguita on Visayas ave. It was already 930pm when she knocked on my window at the stoplight. At first, I waved my hand for her to go away, but as I watched her walk away, I felt bad. So I called her over and asked how many she had and I told her that I was going to buy them all but she had to go straight home after. I handed her a ₱50 bill and saw her look at it with confusion. She finally realised that she had nothing left to do on the streets and as the light turned green and I proceeded to cross the intersection, I caught a glimpse of her tiny body running home.
