A temporary permanence

Soon enough, it would be 2 months since I left Auckland. So many changes have happened since I left. My new job scored me a position as a project coordinator for 6 months and if all goes well, I’ll then get a title as art director.

I walked into work on Monday carrying a bag full of things to decorate my desk. I figured that if I didn’t have a permanent place to sleep that my desk would be what would be the ultimate permanence in my life. For now that is.

I dropped by my dad’s house to pick up my photos, something that I knew my desk shouldn’t be without. In no time I started filling up my desk. But there was something missing. Something big that made me think that this one thing permanent in my life would ever feel as though it’s mine. So for now, it’s temporarily permanent.

This is just temporary permanence.
